Reynosa, Mexico
Along the winding southern border of Texas, just beyond the banks of the Rio Grande River, lies a resilient community built from make-shift homes and plywood structures—carefully pieced together with resourcefulness and heart. In the midst of material hardship, the people here embody generosity, hospitality, and a deep love for both neighbor and stranger.
Each year, Mission Discovery partners with this community to bring tangible hope—constructing over 100 new homes that offer families safety, shelter, and dignity. Brightly painted and thoughtfully built, these homes now dot the valley, standing as vibrant reminders of what’s possible when compassion takes action.

Kiev, Ukraine
Tucked at the forest’s edge on the outskirts of bustling Kyiv once stood a place of quiet refuge: an orphanage known as The Ark. Housed in a historic 1800s building, The Ark opened its doors to children left vulnerable by poverty, parental addiction, and the lasting shadows of the Communist era—children who had been forced to survive on the streets far too young.
But their stories didn’t end there.
Within The Ark, many found more than shelter—they found unconditional love through dedicated volunteers and, in time, the embrace of forever families. Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, The Ark has been relocated to ensure the safety and well-being of the children, continuing its mission to bring healing, hope, and belonging—no matter where their journey leads.
Ensenada, Mexico
Just beyond the southern border of California swells a world-renowned coastline beloved by surfers. A short drive inland, the ocean views give way to the rugged beauty of the Mexican desert, where the vibrant community of Ensenada calls home.
Here, YUGO International partners with local families and volunteers each year to build hope—one home at a time. With a mission to provide over 100 newly constructed houses annually, YUGO ensures families have protection from the elements and a safe place to grow. Today, these brightly painted homes are sprinkled across the valley, standing as symbols of faith, compassion, and lasting change.
